According to a new post by 23AnalyseStudioVR on Patreon, the next cinematic destination to visit will be The Shire from J. R. R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit.” Recall this channel from our interview with Alex Geran, man behind the work. Previous work includes visits to Pandora, Dune, and the Iron Throne Room. Considering the high-quality work done in the past, we expect a detailed, realistic visit to Hobbiton as well. Presumably, this scene will be PC VR only, meaning no app for standalone headsets. That’s ok though, since the Quest (and similar headsets) can tether to a PC for full experiences when needed. Meta supports their own Quest Link app, or you can connect using the Steam Link app. We can’t wait! Remember, you’ll need to become a patron to unlock the downloadable VR experiences, but it’s worth it.
